The LLC "Ortoped" enterprise was established in 2020. It specializes in the production of rehabilitation aids for people with disabilities, the manufacture of medical and rehabilitation equipment, exercise machines, sports grounds for healthcare facilities, rehabilitation centers and other institutions, and also provides participants in hostilities and people with disabilities with upper and lower limb prostheses, upper and lower limb orthoses, orthopedic shoes, rehabilitation aids for children with disabilities, and wheelchairs free of charge under the state program. The work of the enterprise is focused on a comprehensive approach to centralized provision of the needs of persons with disabilities with the entire necessary range of rehabilitation facilities.
The production capacity of the enterprise is 2400m2. On which there are workshops for metalworking, woodworking, shoe production, garment production, prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical rehabilitation facilities.
Employees at the enterprise are provided with everything necessary to perform the tasks assigned, this allows us to fulfill thousands of orders every year, which come from different regions of Ukraine. The staff consists of 130 people, who produce up to 1,000 pairs of orthopedic shoes per month, 120 units of upper and lower limb prostheses, at least 10% of which are military personnel, 150 upper and lower limb orthoses, 450 rehabilitation aids.
Prosthetics and orthotics specialists constantly undergo advanced training courses at training centers in different countries of the world. This year, they were trained in the use of electronic knee assemblies in Germany, in bioelectric upper limb prosthetics in Sweden, in the use of the «OSSUR - Direct Socket» technology; in the Netherlands, training in the latest approaches to prosthetics took place in the USA, and training in comprehensive rehabilitation of the military - in clinics in Spain and Poland.
Technicians-prosthetists-orthetists and rehabilitation specialists constantly improve their skills in prosthetics and rehabilitation by participating in online training and master classes, for which they receive appropriate certificates. Leading specialists study at the international school of prosthetics «Human Study». And are members of the international school of prosthetics and orthotics (ISPO).
In accordance with the «Fundamentals of Ukrainian legislation on healthcare» LLC «Ortoped» has a license to conduct business activities in medical practice in the specialties: orthopedics and traumatology, physical and rehabilitation medicine approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 02/24/2021 No. 331, and is included in the list of enterprises that meet the qualification requirements for the manufacture, supply, repair and maintenance of technical and other rehabilitation equipment approved by the order of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine dated 02/02/2017 No. 172, as amended by the order of the Ministry dated 03/03/2020 No. 185 (the list is posted on the website of the Ministry of Social Policy), and has the relevant certificates for the quality management system for medical devices (ISO 13485:2016 “Medical devices – Quality management systems – Requirements for regular purposes”) dated 03/13/2020. DSTU ISO 9001:2015 «Quality Management System».
LTD «Ortoped» provides persons with disabilities, children with disabilities and other specific categories of the population with prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation free of charge in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 321 of April 5, 2012 (as amended).
The enterprise cooperates with 23 regional Social Protection Funds.
Branches of the prosthetics center "Ortoped" are open in almost all regions of Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers, branches also operated in Severodonetsk, Kramatorsk, Kherson, Mariupol, Berdyansk, Melitopol, Volnovakha. Now the work of branches in these cities has been temporarily suspended. In other cities, as before, you can get a consultation, place an order, and after manufacturing - receive a finished product. The maximum approach of the enterprise to the customer - one of the components of the enterprise's philosophy.
Our enterprise is equipped with the necessary equipment for the manufacture of prosthetic and orthopedic products using the latest technologies, «OSSUR - Direct Socket» (manufacturing of a prosthesis per day) (3-D scanning, 3-D modeling, 3-D processing on CNC machines, 3-D printing of components from thermoplastic materials).
Electronic knee assemblies and myoelectric upper limb prosthetics are widely used for military prosthetics.
The production uses materials and components from leading global manufacturers such as world-renowned companies as «Ossur» (Iceland), «Streifeneder» (Germany), «Ottobock» (Germany), «Blatchford» (Great Britain), «STG» (USA), «Truelife» (USA), «Proted» (Turkey), «Tehlin» (Taiwan) and others.
All prostheses and orthoses manufactured at the enterprise meet the international standards of orthosis and prosthetics (ISPO).
Our customers receive the most modern and functional prostheses, which helps them to participate and take prizes in Paralympic competitions for the Ukrainian national team, and record new achievements in the Guinness Book of Records.
At the enterprise LLC «Ortoped», a multidisciplinary team works in its own rehabilitation department, thanks to whose work each customer undergoes training for prosthetics, mastering the skills of stump care, contracture prevention, mastering the skills of walking on a prosthesis and caring for it. They provide consultations on preparation for prosthetics and social support in providing prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation from the first days after amputation.
