Consultation and selection of prosthetic and orthopedic products

The prosthetic process always begins with a consultation. After examining the patient, specialists determine the type of design and type of product, level of mobility, individual needs and conditions of further use.

During the consultation, the following is performed:

• muscle testing;

• assessment of the amplitude of movements in the joints;

• sensitivity determination;

• assessment of the condition of soft tissues.

Based on the data obtained, the doctor together with the prosthetic technician selects the optimal design and configuration of the product according to the degree of patient mobility.

Free provision of assistive devices rehabilitation

To obtain free rehabilitation aids, you must contact:

• social protection agency;

• CNAP;

• territorial branch of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities (SOBEZ).

After the application, an application and the following package of documents are submitted.

List of required documents

Required documents:

• A passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a document replacing it
  (temporary identification card of a citizen of Ukraine, ID card for permanent or temporary residence, refugee certificate, birth certificate — for persons under 14 years of age).

• Copy of taxpayer registration card (identification code).
  For persons who have refused TIN due to religious beliefs — corresponding mark in the passport.

• Conclusion on the need to provide rehabilitation aids, prepared by:

  • MSEK;

  • VLK;

  • LKK;

  • multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

⚠️ If the documents were issued by December 15, 2023, an additional conclusion is not submitted.

• Certificate of registration of IDPs — for internally displaced persons.

Additional documents for military personnel

For military personnel, it is necessary to provide:

• a certificate of the circumstances of the injury (injury, contusion, mutilation), issued by the commander of the military unit or the head of the territorial unit;

• a military ID card.

Ordering and manufacturing of the product

After forming an electronic referral, the patient must contact the company directly.

Order acceptance and processing is carried out:

• at the company;

• or on-site medical and technical team at the patient's place of residence.

Specialists carry out:

• taking measurements;

• fitting;

• issuing the finished prosthetic and orthopedic product.
