Tricycle VDR “Hephaestus”

The tricycle VDR “Hephaestus” is intended for movement on surfaces with a hard surface, physical rehabilitation and activation in diseases of the central nervous system and musculoskeletal system. The tricycle is driven by muscle power applied to the pedals of the bicycle (foot drive).
The bike is designed for people with a height of 1200 to 2000 mm. Regular cycling helps to improve the functioning of internal organs, including the cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems.
The simultaneous load on the muscles of the arms and legs during use helps prevent contractures, develops and strengthens existing or lost functions in the upper and lower extremities, improves their motor coordination and increases muscle tone.
The bicycle is equipped with a seat with a torso fixation with an adjustable belt. There are also shoe clips on the pedal blocks.
There is a special removable handle on the back of the bike, which can be used to control the speed and direction of the child's movement and adjust it. The handle allows an adult accompanying the child to directly steer the bike.
A handbrake for the front wheel is also included in the basic package.
